Riot (stylised as RIOT) was Revolt's predecessor.
Entering into development during 2019, work took place on GitHub and Insert's legacy GitLab. It was largely licensed under Apache 2.0, and the project was supported by donations on Patreon.[1]
It was primarily developed by Insert, Nizune, and FatalErrorCoded.
Eventually the project fell apart and development ceased.
