Shutdown

On December 1st, 2024, it was announced on the Meower website that the project is shutting down. This was due to the maintainers' inability to work on Meower properly due to lack of time. Another issue was the amount of inappropriate content moderators had to go through.

Tnix, the creator of the platform, mentioned that it may not be over for Meower since the co-authors may decide to continue with the project.

On February 23rd, 2025, all the users' data was deleted permanently.
